"We compliment your organization on being well run and
making our volunteer work effective along with leaving us with heartfelt affection for all we left behind."
Salem UMC, Barrington, IL

We welcome volunteer groups to join us in rebuilding homes and renewing hope for hundreds of New Jersey families!

  • Teams should designate a team leader who is the main point of contact and is responsible for all paperwork.
  • Teams with any youth members under the age of 18 need to follow the directions under the youth section of this web site.
  • Our volunteer housing program is geared to week-long teams working in Sandy recovery, but we gladly welcome teams who can work for part of the week, the weekend, or local teams who may want to serve regularly for one or two days a week.
  • Our best teams are highly skilled teams, but teams that have skilled leaders to help unskilled members work well too.  If you have a question about whether your skills match our needs, send us an email at info@afuturewithhope.org.

Other important information:

  • We provide you details on the specific work or place you will be working in when you arrive.  Our schedules and needs can change weekly depending on the work requirements of each house and the skill level of the work teams each week.
  • We can also accommodate volunteers who need housing only.   Please complete the forms for housing under Register for housing only.
  • Returning teams can schedule directly with our volunteer coordinator by email at info@afuturewithhope.org or call (732) 359-1012 directly.
  • We request a donation of $20 per night per volunteer to cover housing costs and $100 per volunteer for building materials for construction for a total of $220 per volunteer per week.  A $250 deposit for the team is requested at the time of application.
  • All required forms must be submitted for each team member prior to your arrival.
  • We will contact you to discuss and confirm your interest after your application is submitted.
  • As soon as your team is confirmed for a date, you will need to enter your team members in our online form.
  • Team member information and skill assessment forms should be completed 4 weeks prior to your scheduled arrival.
  • Due to various program circumstances charter buses cannot be used to transport volunteers to and from work sites.  If your group plans to travel to NJ via charter bus please call to discuss prior to booking.

We are here to help.  If you have questions, please email info@afuturewithhope.org or call A Future with Hope at (732) 359-1012.
